Ads, Ads, Ads and more Ads!

We as consumers see, read advertisements everywhere! On the television, magazines, newspaper even online while we're surfing the web. Advertisements duty is to capture our attention, whether it's in an emotional, logical or ethical way. These are called Appeals, there are three Appeals; Ethos, Pathos, Logos. The following Ad is from WWF, I believe this Ad is Ethos.
 
Ethos meaning is it ethical, asks the question; is it the right/ wrong choice? The Ad makes the reader feel like 'if I don't stop doing what I am doing, then the environment will change me.' Also it makes you think back to all the bad choices you made that may have effected the climate.  This is why I believe this Ad is Ethos.

  1. I totally agree with you ads can be confusing and persuading towards people. I think that it is true that if we don't do something about the climate it will start effecting us in a bad way, people need to understand how important the world is to us and start caring more about it.
